Bennet Wins Nominations for CLBR and Political Column

Bennet was named a finalist by the LA Press Club for the Southern California Journalism Awards in two categories, both related to legendary figures from the Johnson Administration.  The first is from an interview with Doris Kearns Goodwin, President Johnson’s biographer and the second arises from an article written by former Johnson press-secretary Bill Moyers. The nominations are Bennet’s 15th and 16th over the last 9 years.  He has won on three occasions for Online Commentary, Print Commentary (smaller newspapers) and Best Newsletter.

Cyber Report was named the top newsletter at the 53rd Southern California Journalism Awards.  Judges praised Cyber Report for "lots of news and info on an emerging field of law (and business), presented simply with lots of links for even more information."

At the 51st Southern California Journalism Awards, Bennet took home two second prize awards - one for Online Journalist of the Year and the other for Top Newsletter for his law firm's Cyber Report newsletter.  Bennet also scored a honorable mention in the Blogger category.

Bennet Wins Top Prize At 50th at LA Press Club Awards

Bennet won his second Southern California Journalism Award in two years, winning for print commentary for newspapers under 100,000 in circulation for his writings in the Santa Monica Daily Press.  Judges called his work:

Bennet also waas a finalist for Online Commentary and Online Journalist of the Year.

Bennet Wins Top Prize for Online Commentary at LAPC Awards

At the 49th LA Press Club Awards the top honors for Online Commentary went to Bennet for his writing on Huffington Post which judges called:

German Ministry of Defense Selects Bennet for Worner Seminar
